Twenty Six (Totally Useless but Fun) Facts

26 FACTS

I love getting inspiration from the other blogs that I follow. This morning I saw a post on Facebook from  Michelle at Push.Pump.Progress and she had 26 Facts on her blog.  Michelle borrowed it from some blogs that she follows and suggested that others borrow it and make it their own!!

A is for age:  Do I really have to answer this???  I am over 35.  I’m leaving it at that J. I’ve always told my son that you never ask a woman her age, and if for some reason you have to guess, always guess young!!

B is for breakfast today:  Chocolate whey protein shake with fruit and ground sprouted chia & flax seeds.  And of course COFFEE!  I can’t live without my coffee!

C is for currently craving:  Peanut butter and toast with slices of cheddar cheese.  Sounds gross, but it is really, really good!  Even better is cream cheese and peanut butter on toast, but I very, very rarely have that treat J

D is for dinner tonight: Not sure…I hate cooking, and I am lucky, my hubby does most of the cooking.

E is for favorite type of exercise: lifting weights.  I absolutely love it!

F is for a fear: Tornadoes, snakes (they are soooo gross!), heights just to name a few.

G is for gross food:  Sweet potatoes – I can’t make myself like them!  Turnip, squash, beets, pickles, same story – can’t make myself like them.   I know they’re good for me, but YUK!

H is for hometown:  A very small town in Southwestern Ontario J  Actually from a farm, outside of a very small town .  I’m a farm girl!! J

I is for something important:  Family.  I recently lost my Mom, and it makes me realize even more how important family is.

J is for current favorite jam:  I love what is hot and current with teens (I have 3 teens). Right now I like “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye

K is for karaoke: I have never done karaoke .  I would like to, but I do not have enough self-confidence to get up infront of people and sing (badly).  I do sing in my car where I have no critics J

L is for luxe: Things that I like to splurge on are new gadgets.  If I can afford to, I love electronic gadgets.  My newest is my Polar watch & heartrate monitor.

M is for muffins:  I like muffins, but if I never had one again, I’d be okay.

N is for something you need:  A vacation.  I haven’t been on a real vacation since our honeymoon 21 years ago!!

O is for occupation:  I was a Veterinary Technician for 18 years before I made a career change and am now the owner of my own business.

P is for pet peeve:  People who don’t say “thank you”, and ignorant, bad drivers!!

Q is for a quote: “It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” Mark Twain.   I love this quote!

R is for running: I love running, but hurt my hip and after recovering, have to start (Slowly!!) all over again.  Running is a great stress reliever, and my teens and hubby are glad that I run!  LOL

S is for favorite healthy snack:  Celery with peanut butter.  Mmmmmmmm!

T is for favorite treat:  I love French fries, and especially poutine.  I know it’s not good for you, and poutine is basically a heart attack waiting to happen…..but I love it!

U is for something that makes you unique: I am a klutz – door handles catch on my shirt, I catch my hair in the car window/door, I trip over air, knock over the only full glass on the table, etc.  I am just a klutz.

V is for favorite vegetable: Potatoes.  That’s the Irish in me! J

W is for today’s workout:  butt and arms day today!  It’s gonna be tough to do in this heat!

X is for X-rays you’ve had:  my knees

Y is for yesterday’s highlight:  Swimming in my pool to cool off from this freakin’ heat!

Z is for zoo…as in animal that I would HAVE to visit when I go:  I love penguins, and think they are so cute, but then I love all animals (except snakes!)
